Public Authority / Scope
BGZ Berliner Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit
We strive to make our website or mobile application accessible. The Digital Accessibility Statement is required by the Berlin Act on Accessible Information and Communication Technology (BIKTG Bln). The technical requirements for accessibility are derived from BITV 2.0.
This digital accessibility statement applies to the service www.bgz-berlin.de.
Creation of this Accessibility Statement
This statement was created or last updated on July 29, 2024.
The content of this statement was last reviewed on May 29, 2024.
The review of digital accessibility was carried out by an external assessment from the Monitoring Body for Digital Accessibility of the State of Berlin.
How accessible is the service?
This website / mobile application is partially accessible. Only some of the requirements of BITV 2.0 are met.
Which areas are not barrier-free?
There are some areas that are not barrier-free. We are constantly working on the implementation and, in particular, the improvement of accessibility. A general overhaul of the website is planned for the 2025 financial year to rectify the following shortcomings. Accessibility is always taken into account during planning, development, tendering and procurement, particularly for expansions and revisions.
The following areas are not accessible:
Barrier: Non-Text Content- Not all control elements have alternative texts.
- Information and relationships of elements or texts on the website are incorrect.
- Incorrect presentation of content and/or control elements/functions.
- Incorrect functionality/adjustment between display formats.
- Input purpose in forms is not or insufficiently recognizable.
- Important information is not highlighted with a second characteristic or sufficiently emphasized.
- The website has contrast errors.
- Information from images is lost when hidden.
- Content does not reflow automatically when enlarged.
- The contrast of non-text elements is too low.
- Increasing text spacing leads to overlaps or information loss.
- Not all elements of the page are reachable and/or operable with a keyboard.
- Automatically updating or moving elements can only be stopped with a mouse, or not at all.
- Areas and content cannot be skipped.
- Links are partially not meaningful or incorrect.
- Visible focus is partially missing or too weak.
- Form fields or control elements lack visible labels or have incorrect labels.
- Parts in different languages are not marked with the corresponding lang attribute – untranslated parts are present on the website.
- Incorrect or required form fields are not displayed, sufficiently highlighted, or described.
- Form fields lack visible labels or instructions, or they are insufficient/incorrect.
- Error messages are unclear and provide no or insufficient guidance on how to correct them.
- Chosen user preferences are not applied.
