About us
As a joint organisation of the State of Berlin and the Berlin Chamber of Crafts, we at BGZ Berliner Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit strengthen international networking in the capital region. Together with our partners, we focus on implementing international projects in our areas of work for our shareholders and apply for the necessary funding. Our mission is the qualification and support of people and organisations. We focus on innovative projects that contribute to greater sustainability in Berlin and the partner cities involved.
Our Identity
We are experts in the development and implementation of international projects - primarily in the EU. To a small extent, we also work with partners in the Global South. Our projects contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for socially, economically and environmentally sustainable development. They are innovative and bring together different sectors such as educational institutions, companies and administration.

Our projects qualify and empower young people and professionals to prepare them for current and future professional and social challenges. These include far-reaching digitalisation, the decarbonisation of the economy, social cohesion and dealing with various crises. As the BGZ, we promote international networking and cooperation - especially in Berlin's skilled trades, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and educational institutions. We strengthen the resilience of individuals, organisations and companies and contribute to securing skilled workers with our educational projects.

125 Jahre Handwerkskammer Berlin
Wir gratulieren der Handwerkskammer Berlin ganz herzlich zu ihrem 125. Jubiläum! Wir sind sehr glücklich, eine so großartigen Gesellschafterin an unserer Seite zu haben, mit dem der wir eng und vertrauensvoll zusammenarbeiten dürfen. Mit viel Freude begleiten wir das Handwerk auf seinem Weg zwischen Tradition und Innovation im Rahmen von europäischen Kooperationsprojekten. Auf die nächsten 125!
Berlin und Windhuk feiern 25 Jahre Städtepartnerschaft – die BGZ ist gleich mit drei Projekten dabei!
Wir waren sehr dankbar, alle Projekte dem Regierenden Bürgermeister von Berlin, Kai Wegner, zu präsentieren und zu zeigen, wie wir als BGZ als Berliner Einrichtung gemeinsam mit unseren Partnern nachhaltige Entwicklung voranbringen. „Ihre Projekte sind jetzt auch meine Projekte“, sagte der Regierende zum Abschluss seiner viertägigen Reise nach Windhuk und zeigte sich sehr beeindruckt von den vielfältigen und wirkungsvollen Aktivitäten, die wir umsetzen.
