BGZ - Who we are

BGZ is a joint private and public sector institution based in Berlin and set up to carry out international cooperation projects

BGZ is supported by the State of Berlin and the Berlin Chamber of Small Business and Skilled Crafts. Our international team has profound expertise in the fields of vocational training, development aid policy, economy, labour market and employment.

BGZ was founded in 1983, initiated personally by the former Mayor of Berlin, Richard von Weizsäcker. Our intention was to improve the cooperation between the State of Berlin and Turkey.

We are a non-profit organisation and are institutionally supported by the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Women´s Issuses.
